Heart full & Thankful {Thanksgiving Recap}

Family is so important and holds such an important presence in our life.  You might be sick of hearing it but it hands down it is the truth.  This thanksgiving I am especially thankful for my parents.  They are such pillars in our life; honestly I don't know what we would do without their constant love, support and extra hands.  We are so lucky to live so close and spend so much time together creating wonderful memories for my children, my husband and me.

I am also grateful for my children who keep both my hands and heart full at all times.  We are blessed with healthy and happy kiddos. Last but not least I am thankful for my husband who works hard around the clock for us; giving his all always.  I could go on and on but won't.  In a few simple words I am one lucky girl.

This Thanksgiving was spent at my parent's house with Dad's side of the family.  It was Ava's 1st Thanksgiving and it was the first time Mason was able to express what he was thankful for at the table.  My kids had such a fun time playing with all their aunts, uncles and cousins.  It made my heart so full hearing their little giggles and seeing their smiling faces.

Mason was thankful for his class, teachers and friends!

Happy 1st Thanksgiving sweet girl!

Thanks Day 2014

Thanks Day is one of our more recent family traditions!  It consists of getting together with my mom's side of the family which includes my cousins and Mason's cousins.  This pre Thanksgiving and non turkey event is something we all look forward to, however this year was extra special for the Murrays.  Mason had the most amazing time with his older cousins.  Matt and I were both able to sit back and relax most of the evening allowing his older cousins to keep an eye on him and entertained.  The pictures from the evening say it all:
Playing with his new favorite train
Big hugs for cousin Lauren

Eating with the big kids.

More Playing

Family is so important!  It warmed my heart to watch Mason enjoy his cousin and one of our family traditions.  We spent a lot of time with family growing up and it is nice that we will be able to do the same with Mason.

Thanksgiving is tomorrow and I am thankful for so very much!  I'm Thankful for my growing family, my husband who is truly the best and for my parents and sister for always being there for us.  We are so lucky and blessed and I know that.

Wishing you and yours a wonderful Thanksgiving!

A thankful Thanksgiving

The Murray family had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We spent the afternoon at my parents' house putting up the tree (one of my favorite things to do) and  after we all took a nap we headed back over to my parents for Thanksgiving dinner. Throughout the day there was one thing I couldn't stop thinking about; what a incredible difference a year makes. Last Thanksgiving, we just had Mason, I was still in pain from childbirth and could barely keep my eyes open, we were about to close on our house, I was nursing Mason what seemed to be like every hour and Matt was days away from starting a new job. It was SO very nice to just enjoy the holiday with our family... stress and worry free. As I chased Mason around the house watching him interact with his Aunts/Uncles, Great Aunts/Uncles, Nana & Papa it was clear what I was thankful for. Watching my louder then life son bringing joy and warmth to everyone around him was priceless. Matt and I are so thankful for him, each other and our very loving friends and family.

Here are a few pictures of our Thanksgiving! We can only hope your Thanksgiving was as joyful as ours.

Much to be Thankful for

Mason celebrated his first Thanksgiving and the Murray family has so much to be thankful for this year!  My parents hosted Thanksgiving, mom cooked up a storm and Dad spent Thanksgiving day frying Turkeys (six of them to be exact).  My in-laws came into town to celebrate Mason's first Thanksgiving and Uncle Mike had the pleasure of meeting Mason for the first time.  I was hopeful that Mason would be exhausted after a day of guests and being passed around but our little party animal loved every minute of it (and no, it didn't help him sleep better at night).
